Tom Moggach

Tom Moggach runs an innovative ‘plot to plate’ project at Rhyl Primary School in Camden Town, where pupils sell crops via their ‘Growing Ideas’ micro business and tend a thriving garden in a car park.


Tom specialises in outdoor learning, food and horticulture. He also works as freelance educational consultant for clients including Jamie Oliver’s Kitchen Garden Project, the Royal Horticultural Society and other schools.


As a journalist, Tom has written for The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph, and is author of ‘The Urban Kitchen Gardener’. He graduated from the UCL Institute of Education in 2001.
